Every few days the floor needs sweeping
(Every few days, every few days)
The garbage is full, the sink is leaking
(Every few days, every few days)
Every few days there's a mess you've made
Bouncing checks, parking tickets you swore that you paid
Every few days you say...
Every few days you say...
--CHORUS--
The real world is killing me slowly
The real world is bringing me down
The real world is loving me only
As much as I let it, and nothing more
As much as I let it, and nothing more
Every few days the chopping block is
(Every few days, every few days)
Slashing a hole in both your pockets
(Every few days, every few days)
Every few days, raise a glass to your face
Strike a match for the years on your birthday cake
Every few days you say...
Every few days you say...
--CHORUS--
Every few you days, you're fine
Just a few days on the grind
You left your faith behind some other door
Which one, you don't know
Every few days you say...
Every few days you say...
--CHORUS--

Aaron Lee Tasjan is one my favorite artists. I feel a kindred spirit to his songwriting, and lyrically he is right up there with all the greats. This cat makes me cry and laugh in the same song. Theo Katzman

I first heard "Adrienne & Adrianne" on FF's "Tailwinds" album, which had it's own kind of magic thanks to Kenni Holmen and the extra flavor of that sax section. This version reminds me of the Harlem Globetrotters and the piano and drum work are fantastic. "It Gets Funkier II" appeals to my computer nerd sensibilities. This album features Theo Katzman's best drumming that I ever heard. t0cktock

I spent my New Year's hangover listening to "Sky Mall" on repeat, when I discovered my new favorite bass player. "Fugue State" is what you get if the Muscle Shoals musicians took a break to noodle around on Bach and eventually became my wake-up alarm. "First Place" reminds me of that scene in "Clerks" where Randal walks into the adult video store. t0cktock
